What is your role at Vinehall?
As of 2021 I will be the Year 1 teacher.
What subjects do you teach?
As an Early Years Teacher, I teach all the areas of development including: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
What made you to want to be a teacher?
Children just brighten my day and bring me lots of joy! They are a constant reminder about what is most important in life – the Little Things! When I was a child, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and I also wanted a lot of children of my own so that I could stay home with them in the holidays.
What do you enjoy most about Vinehall?
The genuine support that staff and parents have given me and my family, especially over the last year.
What is your best teaching memory?
Every day has its memories. Seeing the lightbulb moment when a child finally discovers something they didn’t know before and knowing that I played a part in helping them work it out.
When you are not in the classroom you are most likely to be?
Outdoors in Hastings – either on the East Hill or Rock-a-Nore beach.
