What subject do you teach?

Mainly Latin, some Classical Civilisation and Ancient Greek when needed and some RS.

What made you want to become a teacher?

Apart from the usual three reasons (!), the discovery, satisfaction and enjoyment provided by a chance opportunity to teach in my gap year.

What do you enjoy most about Vinehall?

Aside from the actual teaching, the interaction, relationships and humour among children and staff.

Your most exciting project/trip in the pipeline (if you cannot say please just allude):

Classics Days either at Worth Abbey or Hurstpierpoint – yet to be confirmed but great days nonetheless. Also a Classics tournament at Battle Abbey – yes, really!

Best teaching memory:

Every time the penny drops and pupils realise I haven’t just made it all up randomly; and when those struggling never give up.

When you are not in the classroom/sports field you are most likely to be:

Walking as high and far as possible; or messing about with the blues or my children.

Something not many people know about you is:

I was in the army for a bit – which turned out to be better teacher training than actual Teacher Training!
