At Vinehall we definitely see the importance of taking the learning outside the classroom, to not only enhance it but to enable the pupils to engage with it. A wide variety of trips are planned throughout the year and many areas of the curriculum are made more memorable and are brought to life. These trips are organised in the different areas of school life.  Some examples of the trips;
Academic: Houses of Parliament, Hampton Court, Greenwich Peninsular, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mt Cabourn, Herstmonceux Science Centre…
Creative Arts: Towner Art Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Jerwood Gallery, Ceramics Day at Eastbourne College, Hastings Pier…
Performing Arts: Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, The Globe Theatre, A Youth Theatre Workshop, The Hastings Music Festival…
Sport: IAPS competitions in Hockey, Netball, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Swimming and ISFA competition in Football….
In addition to the many day trips, Years 5 to 8 take part in “Trips Week” where they will all have a residential trip. These trips are planned to link into the curriculum as well as providing an opportunity for friendships to be strengthened and fun to be had.
