Odd Sock Day marked the start of Anti-Bullying Week, linking to our current PHSE topic: ‘Celebrating Difference’.
The fun didn’t stop there, with pupils trying out the Random Acts of Kindness Wheel, collaborating on their Form’s Anti-Bullying Charter and taking time to think about what they are thankful for. PHSE lessons focused on these themes, with Years 5 and 6 also joining the BBC and Anti-Bullying Alliance’s live lesson and a Prep School Chapel on the story of The Good Samaritan. Well done to Year 8 who performed the Anti-Bullying Alliance song ‘Make A Noise’ – we enjoyed making some noise again when we came together as a school for our Children in Need Walk at the end of the week.
Thank you to everyone who entered our model making competition, exploring the theme of ‘Build your friendship on firm foundations’. We had a fantastic selection of entries which the judges (Head of Art Mrs McNamara, Head of DT Mr Everest and members of the Pupil Council) were very impressed with.
