Set in 47 acres of parkland on the East Sussex/Kent border, Vinehall School nurtures and educates boys and girls aged 2 to 13.
We have a long tradition of providing an outstanding education and exceptional opportunities for personal development for day and boarding pupils, with highly qualified teachers and staff providing fantastic pastoral care.
All pupils at Vinehall School enjoy use of our excellent facilities including our recently refurbished theatre, music rooms, indoor swimming pool, sports fields, outdoor learning and play areas and woodlands.
Vinehall has a well-deserved reputation for helping all pupils to achieve their potential in academics, the arts, sports and other interests.
We have a 100% pass rate at Common Entrance, a high Scholarship success rate, an orchestra, a thriving drama department and tremendous results on the sports field against other schools locally and in the National Prep School championships.
For parents unable to do the school-run themselves, our minibuses for day pupils and flexi-boarders provide a convenient alternative transport service from Cranbrook, Heathfield, Wadhurst, Eastbourne, Mayfield and Hastings.
For our weekly and full-time boarders we are well connected by road, rail and air to the region, London and London airports (including Gatwick, Heathrow, London City and Stansted).
Little Vines Nursery
Located in our purpose-built Pre-Prep School, our Nursery facilities and highly dedicated staff ensure all our children receive exceptional Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision.
Our Nursery facilities include a hall for dance, music and gym activities as well as a library and art area. Our children also enjoy access to all the opportunities provided by the nearby Prep School, including subject-specialist teachers, an indoor swimming pool, extensive music, drama and sports facilities etc.
The Nursery opens out on to a large, safe outdoor play area for the youngest children. This outdoor area has imaginative and investigation zones as well as a woodland exploratory area with dens and logs for climbing over. Wellington boots and waterproofs are essential!
We believe the Early Years of a child’s education are crucial to their future development, enjoyment and achievement.
We aim to provide high quality early learning through play for all children in a happy, fun, caring and nurturing environment.
Our youngest children find themselves in a vibrant, family atmosphere; whole school activities are adapted to include all the children from the youngest to the oldest.
Children have enjoyed participating in our Sports Day, plays, Jubilee and Olympic celebrations as well as workshops such as those run by Arsenal Sporty Tots and the English National Ballet.
We work closely with our families and have excellent communication links with our parents.
Our recent Inspection report (January 2015) found us “outstanding” in all areas.
