4B were set the challenge to list everything that they use in the course of a normal day, including electricity, fossil fuels and plastic items. They designed their cardboard carbon footprints by selecting one of the things from their list.
The second challenge was to use the most basic and abundant of materials – cardboard. We discussed what we could use instead of glue to add elements to the base of the footprint. We decided against the suggestion of mud! We came to the conclusion that we can make a difference in the Art room by using materials sparingly but there are some limitations.
And I taught an entire lesson without the Smartboard!
Our artists have been using old CDs to embellish their poppy designs ahead of Remembrance Day.
