Wow … we could not have asked for a clearer night. We were so lucky. The children saw Jupiter through the telescope as clear as day. We also saw Saturn and the ISS flew over right above us. The star constellations were impressive and the moon was amazing.
We also had a good play on all the indoor equipment where the children were engaged and interested.
At about 8.45pm we left the science centre, turned our torches on and headed back through the woods to our Tipees. We sat around the campfire, sang some songs, roasted marshmallows and played a few night time games. The children then settled very quickly and we didn’t hear them again until 6.30am which was wonderful. Everyone was superbly behaved and a pleasure to spend time with.
Another amazing trip even if I do say so myself!
PS A big thank you to Carina Everist, Ally Linney, Karen Walker and Becky Prior for giving up their Friday night to join us.
