Swimming teacher
What made you want to become a teacher?
I was inspired by my own boys’ swimming teacher over twenty years ago and felt that this would be a perfect career change from my previous role as a personal assistant.
What do you enjoy most about Vinehall?
I enjoy seeing happy children progressing through the school and watching them gain confidence, having fun and reaching their full potential.
Your most exciting project/trip in the pipeline
To see one of my swimmers at the Olympics one day!
When you are not in the school you are most likely to be.
I may be found on the back of the Harley enjoying a ride in the country.
Something not many people know about you is.
I learned to ride a horse and motorbike before driving a tractor and a car!
Best teaching memory
A sixth former who was a complete beginner and her tremendous effort to achieve a 1,000 metre distance swim after less than a year’s lessons.
