On Tuesday, Vinehall was delighted to host its annual Book Fair. We did have to tweak the recipe slightly, adding a large dose of hand sanitiser and providing several separate boxes of books for each year group bubble to ensure no cross-contamination, but the energy and enthusiasm of our children for reading books was palpable!

Some pupils had made posters to promote the Book Fair (pictured) – we do have very creative children at Vinehall!

Mrs Parkin and I even (with Darren Eglington’s help) made a video of the Book Fair so that the Year 3s (currently quarantining) could have a virtual tour of the books for their year group bubble.

It was a very enjoyable morning, made more so by the pupils who were busily recommending books to each other. India P (4L) earnestly told me that Frost by Holly Webb was a great read and Tallulah W (6P) informed me with pleasure that she had taken recommendations from the other Year 6 girls in order to make her book selections!
We look forward to receiving the books in due course. Many thanks to Rosie Hill, our local bookseller, for kindly bringing the books to us and helping us to host the book fair safely in these challenging times.

Thanks to Rory R, George S, Ottoline G, Clemmie D and Lucy P for designing these posters to promote the Book Fair.
