This week has been a very productive one.  The Year 8 pupils started to visualise their product and embarked on the design process.  Their brief is to design a container to house a variety of pencils and pens, including a computer stylus pen.

The pupils are thinking about how to use the most sustainable materials and addressing the issue of recycling.  They have been studying isometric and axonometric drawing skills with a view to creating a thorough plan.  In IT, the pupils are being introduced to 3D Studio.

Year 8 Graphic Design

During these unusual times, our pupils have used their time to explore ways to create powerful design pieces to convey an equally powerful message.

I am delighted to show you the work of a Year 8 pupil who has excelled by presenting work which meets the criteria of good graphic design. The tasks involved producing a poster in the style of Shepard Fairey, to design an award for Equality and Rights and to create an article of clothing to vocalise a message. The third piece is an added bonus.
