As the children move on to their next learning journey topic they visited Bexhill beach and museum.

What a wonderful day we had.  The weather was amazing and so we dashed off early and spent three hours on the beach in glorious sunshine.  We did a little beach clean, played games, drank hot chocolate and had a picnic.  We then walked to Bexhill museum where the children took part in three activities.

They made mosaics, learnt some Roman words and looked closely at some of the museum’s ancient artefacts.  The day was a great success and I think the children had a wonderful time.  It was a good start to our Roman topic as part of our learning journey.
