The Vinehall International Concert Season continued with a wonderful performance of works by Britten, Haydn, Barber and Mozart by the London Mozart Players. The LMP are one of the UK’s most distinguished chamber orchestras and are based at St John’s, Smith Square. The concert sold out last September and there was a huge waiting list for this very popular programme. The musicians thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were so pleased to be given a delicious lunch, thanks to Sophie.  Also thanks to Lucy, Lynn, and Marion who all work so hard to make sure the concerts run so well.
The interval was busy as we had our annual ‘Cakes for Rwanda Aid’ sale. Many thanks to the Rushton house bakers and Gayle Fernau and Mrs Payne for organising this so brilliantly. The audience were very happy with their cakes. Mr and Mrs Chaplin sold many cards made in Rwanda and we hope to have raised a good sum of money for RwandaAid.
Congratulations to Boude, Noah, Margot, Mary and Lara for speaking so well to the audience before the concert.
