If you have not visited Bexhill Museum yet, it is well worth a trip.  Year 3 enjoyed a fascinating morning discovering more about Ancient Egypt.  The curator, Julian, is an expert on this topic.  After his interesting introduction with artefacts to see close up, there were three activities: designing a mask, decoding hieroglyphs dressed as a scribe and finding out about the artefacts in the cabinets.  The morning ended with the ‘mummification’ of a doll, much to everyone’s horror and delight!  Thank you to Louise Payne and Denise Lomas for joining us on this worthwhile outing.  Well done to the Year 3s for displaying many of our learning dispositions while there – curiosity, reflective thinking, teamwork and persistence.
