For the last two weekends the U13, U11 and U10 gymnasts have competed at the ISGA National 2 Piece Championships which were held at the Royal Masonic School in Hertfordshire and the IAPS National Championships at Kent College Pembury.
The U13 team were first to compete at the 2 Piece Championships. Ottoline G, Daisy F, Francesca F and Olivia S did a fantastic job achieving 6th place overall, with Francesca gaining 9th place in the individual competition.
In the U10 team Rosie D, Wynnie G, Elizabeth H and Felicity M performed well on set floor and voluntary vault. The team came 7th overall, with Felicity achieving 12th position in the individual competition.
The U11 team of May A, Molly P, Polly S and Imogen W did exceptionally well and were delighted to receive 4th place medals in the team event. Imogen was awarded an individual 3rd place medal.
At the IAPS Gymnastics Championships Lara S joined the U13 team. They gave strong performances and were delighted to be presented with 4th place IAPS badges in the team event. Francesca achieved a fantastic score of 9.1 for her set floor routine and was presented with a 4th place IAPS badge in the individual competition. On voluntary floor Francesca came 4th and Olivia was 9th overall.
With the welcome addition of Lucy P, the U10 team received encouraging scores on their individual pieces. They were very excited when they were awarded 6th place IAPS certificates. Felicity came top of the Vinehall team, achieving 13th position overall. She also came 11th on voluntary floor and 5th on the voluntary vault. Elizabeth also did very well on vault, achieving 9th place overall. Excellent results.
The U11s were very pleased to welcome Camilla B into their team; this was her first competition. May did exceptionally well, achieving 2nd position overall on voluntary vault. Imogen performed particularly well on set floor, gaining 3rd place overall with a fantastic score of 9.60. May had the highest score for the Vinehall team with Imogen close behind.
