On Tuesday Year 4 set off in the sunshine to Herstmonceux science centre. The children immediately started to play with the interactive displays. Some were careful to read the instructions and all were interested in their discoveries.
Next we had a play on the outside equipment which is linked with science and then we had a workshop on light. The teacher showed us a thermal imaging camera and we could see how the different colours of light showed how warm or cold we were.
Then we went to the shop, play a little more with the indoor exhibits and had our final workshop which was all about sound. This is our current science topic. We played a tune using the hand pipes (watch the video to work out which tune) and played with a pipe telephone.
All in all a great day out.
