The Vinehall Equestrian team were in action through the summer holidays with the children competing at the Rye & District Show.  Well done to Grace and James W and Willow and May A for all of your outstanding efforts.

  • Grace won the Ridden Hunter Class and James came 2nd;
  • Grace won the 60cm show-jumping;
  • Grace came 6th in the 70cm show-jumping;
  • James won the veteran class (horse not person 😜);
  • Willow came 2nd overall in the 80cm class but was the highest placed Romney Marsh Pony Club Member and her team came 1st;
  • Grace and May were in the 60cm class; both came 5th in their individual sections and their team came 1st.

Vinehall is very proud of all of them!

Willow and May A were both excited to compete for Vinehall on Saturday in NSEA, the 75cm & 85cm Arena Eventing Jumping with Style Competition at Petley Wood.  The classes were huge, with over 45 competitors in each section; although it wasn’t May’s day, Willow jumped two lovely clear rounds coming 3rd in the 75cm class and 4th in the 85cm class.  The first four from each section qualify so, beyond her wildest dreams and on a heavenly pony she has only very recently been lent, Willow qualified to represent Vinehall at the National Championships in Warwickshire in October!  Lots to work on between now and then!

Thank you Mayfield School for a lovely competition.

Is your child pony mad?
The Vinehall Equestrian team is looking for new members to compete at ALL levels.  Emma Ainslie is our new team manager and she has advised that there are some good grass-root competitions coming up, in which those just starting out may wish to take part.
All are very welcome and Emma is happy to guide you on the levels to make sure it’s great fun and no one feels pressured or gets out of their depth too early.  If there is enough interest, Emma will also try to organise a training session or two each term with a qualified instructor.  Please let her know by emailing
