This week we proudly presented our Junior and Senior Ensembles in their annual Gala Concert.  There was a vast array of repertoire, ranging from a Vivaldi double violin concerto,  to the clarinets and saxophones playing a special arrangement of ‘Tequila’, to the lovely mellifluous flute playing and the Swing Band’s  hearty rendition of ‘Viva La France’.

The Junior Wind and Brass gave us ‘Yellow Submarine’ and the Fabulous Fiddles demonstrated their bowing technique in ‘Start the Show’.  However, the star of the show was Mrs Everist who played a vintage typewriter for the Senior Strings’ performance of Leroy Anderson’s ‘The Typewriter’.  A very big thank you to all our musicians and their teachers for giving us a thoroughly entertaining evening.
