Another successful year from our Vinehall musicians at the  Hastings Musical Festival.

The started with the Instrumental Concerto – a serious undertaking and enormous achievement for Isabel T, Alex W, Isabelle H and Zuriel N.  Not only did they have to learn and play with an orchestra (Mrs Sheppard on a second piano) but they had to memorise the entire movement!

The second week included two days of piano, a session of brass and woodwind and an entire day and evening of strings. Our very own string group were awarded an outstanding 90 and an invitation to play in the Concert Finale this Saturday at 7pm. This is a wonderful ensemble as we have players from Year 3 to Year 8 supporting each other and I think something special came out of that performance.  Please do support them at the White Rock.

Our Medal Winners,  Rupert S (Bronze) and Isabel T  (Silver) have also been invited to play in the Concert Finale.

It has just been announced that Zuriel N, Alex W and Edward M have been awarded Cups for the most promising performers in their fields.

We are delighted to hear that our Pre-Prep and Year 3 choir won their category. Many congratulations to all of our partipants for your hard work and determination and, of course, to the amazingly talented Mrs Sheppard.
