Primary Maths Challenge

This week, pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in the Primary Maths Challenge, a national competition which encourages children to use logical reasoning when solving problems. Answering the questions relies less on mathematical knowledge than it does on pupils’ ability to think creatively when confronted with unfamiliar ideas – an attribute that all potential maths scholars must try to develop.
