Last Saturday Vinehall took the limelight at the Priory Meadow three day Piano event. A beautiful grand piano was placed in the main shopping area just outside Marks and Spencers. Pianists were invited to perform and we were pleased to see that six of our superstars were keen to have their talents heard.
Clemmie D and Isabelle H started the day off with a lively duet by Diabelli. They performed beautifully together and by the time they had finished the crowds had started to gather. They received lots of lovely comments about how accomplished they were at such a young age.
Clara F, Rupert S, Lancelot and Sebastian B then followed with their well practised and polished pieces.  Mrs Sheppard reported that she was very proud of the children, not just for their confidence and ability but also for their behaviour when not playing. They listened well to the other pianists and volunteered to page-turn when the need arose.
Mrs Sheppard “At one point a lovely retired Lady offered to play the duet parts and it was wonderful to see how the pupils were able and confident enough to put the parts together with a complete stranger. Even I got roped into playing a six-hand piece. Music really is a gift and this experience was special and a lot of fun for the children”.
Well done to you all.
