The Vinehall Pre Prep and Junior Choirs have been in action at the Hastings Music Festival today. First up this morning was the Pre Prep choir singing ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and ‘Doe a Deer’. The Choir was competing against mush older children from other schools, and despite the difficulty of their songs did remarkably well to be awarded 2nd place by a mere 1 point. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when they were singing and some very proud parents had an unforgettable morning watching them.

This afternoon saw the turn of the Junior Choir – Years 3,4 & 5, who sang ‘Lesson Number One’ from Mulan, ‘Danny Boy’ and ‘Hubble, Bubble Toil and Trouble’. In another tightly fought competition, the Vinehall girls and boys won against some other very good schools. Again, a strong parent contingency were there to watch and celebrate this fantastic achievement.

We have also had lots of winners in other categories at the Music Festival – details and photos to follow early next week!

The competition today rounds off a fantastic week for our incredible music department who work tirelessly to bring joy and pleasure, as well as success, to all areas of music in the school.
