On Tuesday Year 4 visited the Herstmonceux Science Centre as part of their topic on sound. The freezing cold weather meant the thermal imagery camera was put to work and accurately showed we were freezing!
The children had time to explore and experiment with the hands-on equipment and went to two workshops. The first on light, a topic the children studied in Year 3. Then they had a sound workshop and everyone learnt a lot about how sound travels. Once back in the classroom the boys and girls explored sound even further by making stethoscopes, string telephones and musical instruments. All in all, a noisy, but fabulous day out!
