The Headmaster and Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Gregory as Deputy Head from September 2016.

Mr Gregory went to school at Eastbourne College before studying for a BA and initially following a career in investment banking in the City. With a strong desire to make a difference, in 2007 he retrained as a primary teacher, with his specialism being mathematics. He is also a keen sportsman.

Mr Gregory was a teacher and head of co-curricular activities at Culford Prep, before accepting the role of Head of Boarding at Brandeston Hall, where he was promoted to senior management. He was recently shortlisted for the Independent Schools’ Award for Best Boarding Initiative and has overseen a marked increase in the number of pupils boarding at Brandeston Hall and the breadth of their experience.

Mr Gregory’s passion for hockey has seen him lead the 1st teams for both boys and girls at Brandeston Hall with outstanding success. His boys’ team won the IAPS National title in 2013 and his girls’ team finished 4th in 2014. He very much hopes to continue with his sports coaching at Vinehall.

Mr Gregory will be relocating from Suffolk to Vinehall with his wife Esther, who has been Head of Girls’ Games at Framlingham College, and their two children, Maisie and Herbie.
