At the end of the first half of the Michaelmas Term, Vinehall pupils staged their first Informal (Tea and Cake) Concert of the new academic year. Performing in the newly refurbished Chaplin Theatre, the concert demonstrated the considerable talent in the pupils, some of whom were performing for the first time in front of an audience, whereas others were honing their skills in preparation for a high grade exam in due course. The range of talent was considerable, with Thomas Haines-Matos performing a piece from his Grade 8 piano repertoire and Imogen Cleary playing a grade 6 violin piece, both of which were hugely impressive. There were more than ten different instruments on show, ranging from the harp to guitar.

Equally enjoyable was the finale, a samba percussion performance by the whole of class 6P, using equipment donated by the Friends of Vinehall.
