All catering takes place in-house under the leadership of the Chef Manager. All food is produced from the best ingredients, freshly cooked and served by a committed and well-supported catering team.
The School recently achieved a prestigious Food for Life Partnership Silver Award and is the only independent Prep School in the South East region to hold a Silver Award. This award comes less than two years after gaining a Bronze Award.
In its quest to achieve the Food for Life Partnership Silver Mark, Vinehall have proved that they serve a range of local, organic and fair trade produce, that all chicken, bacon and sausages are Freedom Food certified or free range and that no fish is served from the Marine Conservation Society “fish to avoid” list.
The school has a cooking club, and pupils get to cook with and eat the produce grown in the school growing area. Parents and the wider community get involved in food education via food-themed events. The school recently held a Farmers’ Market and invited parents to lunch to celebrate American Thanksgiving.
