Science, Geography and lots of fun in the Isle of Wight

Vinehall children from Year 7 spent four action-packed days on the annual Isle of Wight trip (11th-14th October 2013).  Pupils enjoyed a lightning visit to the famous attractions of Portsmouth, before a sojourn in the Little Canada PGL Centre.  Abseiling, trapeze jumping, aeroballing and quad biking activities, were timetabled between fieldwork on biodiversity and ecosystems and the study of river invertebrates.  Fossil hunting on the multi-coloured sands of Alum Bay and a boat trip to the needles were amongst the many highlights enjoyed by pupils and staff.
